About Prof IM Rautenbach

​​Ig Rautenbach is Research Professor at the Faculty of Law of the University of Johannesburg. He does research in constitutional law and human rights. He has published widely and is the author of numerous textbooks, articles and case notes in these fields. He did research at the University of Michigan, University of Tel Aviv, and the Max-Planck-Institute for Public International and Comparitive Law, Heidelberg as a Alexander-Von-Humboldt Stipendium Holder. He was a member Member of the Constitutional Working Group of the Multi-lateral Conference (CODESA) in 1992, a member of the Commission for the Demarcation of Provinces in 1993 and an advisor to the Theme Committee: Bill of Rights, Constitutional Assembly in 1995 and 1996.
