About Ofentse Olunloyo

Ofentse Olunloyo is a marketing professional with extensive experience in digital marketing, including search engine, email, content, website and social media marketing. Her passion for problem-solving, marketing and digital transformation earned her several digital analytics and marketing certifications, including an Advanced Google Analytics Certification and several Google Ads Certifications (Search, Display, Video and Shopping Ads). In addition to her industry certifications, Ofentse is a Master of Business Administration (MBA) with an honours degree and a bachelor’s degree, both in marketing management. She has led marketing strategies, campaigns, projects and activities across various sectors, including education, property, recruitment, communications and events management. In September 2021, Ofentse was appointed to lead the marketing department of the Johannesburg Business School (JBS) at the University of Johannesburg (UJ) from the UJ Faculty of Science, where she headed the marketing office for over three years. Prior to joining UJ, Ofentse led the marketing department of a multi-million-rand property management start-up, earning the company an award at the Small Business Expo. While working in the recruitment sector, she was honoured with an award for customer service and digital marketing excellence across several brands of an education and recruitment company listed on the Johannesburg Stock Exchange (JSE). Ofentse is a member of the Institute of Directors in Southern Africa (IoDSA), Toastmasters International and the Young African Leaders Initiative (YALI). She has also been a member of the Project Management Institute (PMI) and Marketing Association of South Africa. The United Kingdom’s Charted Institute of Marketing (CIM) recently approved her as a member (MCIM). As a career volunteer and experimental digital entrepreneur, she founded a digital marketing company in 2014 and currently volunteers as a business mentor at the Allan Gray Orbit Foundation and the National Mentorship Movement. Ofentse has been volunteering for 11 years, starting in 2010 at the University of Pretoria’s Centre for the Study of AIDS. In 2012, she founded and chaired a non-profit organisation to help youth in previously disadvantaged areas. She has also volunteered as a digital marketing specialist and acting Vice-President of Marketing at PMI’s South African Chapter.
