About Ms J Maholo
Jacqueline Maholo matriculated in Pretoria. She obtained an LLM degree from the University of Johannesburg in 2016 leading to a successful publication of her minor dissertation titled “Treating customers fairly: A new name for existing principles?” co-authored by her supervisor. She also obtained an LLB degree and a certificate in Compliance Management from the University of Johannesburg.
She started her career as a Research Assistant at the Johannesburg Stock Exchange within the Governance, Risk and Compliance division and later occupied a Governance Specialist position within the same division. In 2017 she was part of the Summer Law Institute Program at Fordham Law University in New York where she discovered her interest in academics. She is currently employed as an assistant lecturer in the Department of Mercantile Law, University of Johannesburg. She lectures Commercial Law and she is currently pursuing her Doctoral Studies in Banking Law.
