National Diploma in Marketing

If you are wondering whether a career in marketing is for you…consider this: Where does your watch come from? Which watchmaker is the market leader and why? Who decides what flavours of cool drink to make? What price should be charged for movie tickets? Why can you buy designer jeans from one shop and not another? Who decides what the brand name of your sneakers should be? Who makes these decisions?
Marketers make these decisions, and if you study Marketing at the University of Johannesburg, you too could discover the other side of the product and different services. Marketing is about putting products and services on the map and in the consumer's mind and house.
The Department of Marketing Management has also entered into an agreement with the Direct Selling Association (DSA) to train students to achieve specific sales targets and later to manage fellow students' progress. Students also participate in the Media24 Marketer of the Year-competition and as part of Marketing 3B. This allows for students to gain practical work experience during their studies.
