​The CCEUP(SA) Certification Programme by The Institute of Chartered IT Professionals (ICITP), Department of Basic Education (DBE) & University of Johannesburg.

About The Programme

In response to the high youth unemployment rate in South Africa especially in the IT industry, the Institute of Chartered IT Professionals after vetting the matric CAT (Computer Applications Technology) and IT (Information Technology)

subject contents / curriculum found that learners that completed & passes CAT or IT as a subject are qualified and eligible to occupy entry-level roles in the IT sector.

This is an intervention by the Institute of Chartered IT Professional (ICITP), The Department of Basic Education (DBE), the University of Johannesburg (UJ) and the National Youth Development Agency (NYDA)


 Eligible Candidates

The CCEUP(SA) certification programme is for previous and existing learners of Computer Applications Technology (CAT) & Information Technology (IT) in Grade 12 & Tertiary Education.

Candidates

  • Currently in Grade 12 , may apply for the certification programme, attend & complete the MasterClass, and will only be Certified upon submission of their final CAT or IT result. (R750 in Grade 12)
  • That have completed and passed CAT or IT, may apply for the certification programme, attend & complete the MasterClass, and are certified on Induction/Graduation Ceremony conducted after the MasterClass. R750
Candidates need to 

(i) Complete the Application Form

(ii) Attach their Matric Results or Letter of confirmation that they are currently enrolled for CAT or IT from their school 

(iii) a copy of an ID or Passport 

(iv) and complete and attach proof of payment as indicated on the application form.
