The Faculty of Art, Design and Architecture (FADA) building, situated on the Bunting Road Campus of the University of Johannesburg, plays host to a variety of general and specialist venues where the practical and theoretical components of all Faculty programmes are taught.

Well-equipped formal lecture venues are placed centrally in the building and are shared among departments and programmes.​

The Faculty also has its own fully equipped and dedicated art and design library and is the home of the FADA Gallery which hosts a range of important exhibitions of relevance to the Faculty's teaching programs.

The Department of Visual Art offers spacious, well lit, maintained and equipped studios and workshops. 

Designed according to discipline-spe​cific requirements, there are studios for painting, drawing, sculpture, printmaking, computer applications, photography and videography. There are also independent studios for 3rd year and 4th year students in close proximity to printmaking, computer and workshop facilities.
