The estate planning landscape, and specifically the implementation of trusts, has undergone significant changes since the promulgation of the new section 7C of the Income Tax Act from 1 March 2017. Treasury and SARS have continued to show their weaponry and intent with the recent amendments to section 7C with effect from 19 July 2017. Come and listen to a presentation from Dr Stefan Strydom on the future of trusts as an estate planning instrument and on the repercussions sections 7C will have in the future.

In preparation for the Financial Planning Board Exam in February 2018
The Case Study Module attempts to instill a practical understanding and comprehension of subject matter to attendees, enabling them to fully understand and comprehend the topics of study for the Financial Planning Board Exam in February 2018.
The course will be presented at the University of Johannesburg from the 19th of September (Tuesday) and continue from the 20th of September (Wednesday) on a weekly basis until the 18th of October with assessment opportunities scheduled from the 7th of October to the 17th of November 2017.
The cost of the course is R4 500 for the module or R5 500 for the module and a one day revision option before the board exam in February 2018. Alternatively the one day revision can be done for R1500. Please contact evos@uj.ac.za for more information with regards to registering for the module.
