The purpose of business is to create value for its owners. Financial statements are the business scorecard. When properly analysed and understood, they provide insight into strategy and future decision-making.

This 3-day course will enable business leaders to understand, interpret and analyse financial information as well as make relevant business decisions to improve business performance. Each financial statement is a critical piece in the puzzle which unfolds into a story, which must be analysed and then influenced into the future. This includes being able to unlock the wealth of information contained in the financial statements.

Financial management provides managers with timely and appropriate information. From a financial perspective, a manager should do research which should help them, decide what sort of capital to obtain in order to fund the company's assets as well as maximizing the value of the firm for all the stakeholders. Finance also refers to the efficient and effective management of funds in such a manner as to accomplish the objectives of the organization.

After this course delegates will come away with understanding product/service, cost, customers, which will assist in planning, budgeting, decision making; and finally, in order to measure performance. Delegates will be able to plan, make business decisions and evaluate the performance of business units using information derived from the management information system
