Dahlia Maubane’s Master exhibition On Seeing and Being Seen: multiple viewpoints of women street-hairstylists in the inner-city of Johannesburg, takes place between 30 January – 11 March 2021 at Gallery 1989, Market Photo Workshop. This exhibition is in partial fulfilment of the requirements for the MTech Fine Art Degree in the Department of Visual Art. The exhibition is open alongside three site-specific pop-up exhibitions in the inner-city of Johannesburg. Congratulations Dahlia on a powerful study!

Alumnus and past Head of Department Prof. Willem Boshoff (now a Senior Professor in the Department of Fine Arts at the University of the Free State), recently received an A2 rating from the NRF.
