Thank you for considering a gift to the University of Johannesburg
An EFT, or Electronic Funds Transfer, is a convenient, flexible option where you control how much, exactly when and how often you give.
Giving every month
If you’d like to give an amount every month, your bank’s online app or website may be able to do that for you. Look for a payments feature called “repeat payments”, “manage future payments” or similar.
Then you can say you want to donate R500 every month on the 15th of the month beginning on a certain date, for example. It is easy to stop, reduce or increase the payments yourself.
Getting a correct tax certificate
To get an accurate Section 18A tax certificate from UJ, you need to do three things every time you donate with an EFT:
- While you are doing the EFT, type in the Beneficiary Reference provided by UJ.
- While doing the EFT, ask your bank for an email confirmation of payment, and email that to email@example.com.
- Please remember to download the Tax Certificate Info form, print it, fill it in, scan it and email it to firstname.lastname@example.org.
