2017 Psychology Internships

We hereby invite interested Psychology Masters’ students to submit their applications for an internship for 2017 at the Centre for Psychological Services and Career Development (PsyCaD) at the University of Johannesburg. ​

We are looking for Educational and Counselling Psychology candidates. 

The core functions of the PsyCaD internship comprise of the following: 

  • Psychotherapeutic Services (individual, groups, couples, children, parental guidance and families) 
  • 24- Hour Crisis Line 
  • Career counselling services (individual) 
  • Scholastic assessments including subject choices and school readiness 
  • HIV/AIDS counselling 
  • Group psycho educational workshops 
  • Entrepreneurial project • Community projects
Please note that candidates will be selected based on the information required in the application package and an interview (only shortlisted candidates). Therefore ensure that all your application forms are completed accurately and legibly. All information will be treated with the strictest confidentiality so far as it may be required and permitted by law.

Hand in your application package, at PsyCaD reception in the B5 Building (University of Johannesburg, Auckland Park Campus) 

You will be informed via e-mail or telephonically whether you are invited to a personal interview Please take note of the following important dates:
