Mrs Hilda Bbenkele is a lecture and the Development Studies honours co-ordinator. She holds a master’s degree in Development Studies and is currently studying towards a PHD. Her interests include trying to understand the inequalities that exist within society and between countries and also in monitoring and evaluation systems. She is an avid proponent of urban agriculture particularly of indigenous crops. It is her hope that science and indigenous or local knowledge could be utilised in further developing the African continent and other parts of the world. In addition, she believes that all of us can do something to make someone else’s life better.
