Diversity Day APK

Equality is a fundamental right as described in the Constitution of the Republic of South Africa and its significant place in the Constitution needs to be met by a similar prioritisation in University policy and discourse. Through its Diversity Week programmes on all four campuses, the University is fulfilling that mandate by promoting the right to equality and prohibits discrimination directly or indirectly against anyone on one or more grounds, including race, gender, sex, pregnancy, marital status, ethnic or social origin, colour, sexual orientation, age, disability, religion, conscience, belief, culture, language and birth

Kingsway Campus is “spreading the light within” and celebrating Diversity Day this year by hosting a picnic on the terraces around the fountain area on Friday 20 October, from 12 noon until 14:00. Please invite the colleagues in your departments to bring their lunches in a picnic basket (remember a blanket or chair) and join other departments to celebrate our country’s diversity with us. Please make sure that you wear your traditional clothing or any other attire you would feel comfortable in. We hope to create an atmosphere of “spreading the light within”, as we engage, talk and get to know more about each other. Please come and enjoy the wonderful programme presented by the Annual International Festival hosted by the Division for Internationalisation:
