In 2005 the FNB University of Johannesburg (UJ) Rugby Club had a great first year under a new name with new colors when they won the prestige’s FNB Superbowl (frontrunner to the current Varsity Cup). They also reached the final of the 2005 National Club Championships losing narrowly to Maties once again. In 2006 UJ won the newly formed Predator League and followed this victory with a win in the 2007 Pirates Grand Challenge. These victories together with its now 40 Springboks and the more than 100 players annually from UJ that represents the Golden Lions Rugby Union ensures the FNB UJ Rugby Club’s position as one of the giants of SA rugby.

Club Fees:

   - R300 p/a payable at Student finances, the proof of payment must please be submitted to the rugby office.

   - Only members are eligible for the Intervarsity and USSA teams

   - Memebership is for one calendar year only.
