UJ Rowing Club merged with Victoria Lake Rowing Club forming the Prestigious VLUJ RC. Therefore, the University of Joannesburg rowers participate in Intervarsity, USSA Spring Regatte and Boat Race as University of Johannesburg. The rest of the regattas UJ students race as VLUJ athletes.

The VLUJ Boat house is situated at Victoria Lake Club, Germiston. Alternate training sessions take place in the University of Johannesburg High Performance Centre. 

Club Fees:

   - R800 p/a, includes Regatte entry fees.

Scholarship Information:

   - Complete the Bursary application form and send it to Carol (email below).

   - Applicants must have rowed for at least the first crew at school level before the application will be considered.

Current club news and achievements:

   - UJ Rowing Club has won USSA Sprints for the 4th consecutive year

   - Women's A 8+ has won Universities Boat Race for the 2nd consecutive year with the men placing 2nd

   - Currently, UJ boosts 2 National Squad athletes, Naydene Smith from the Womens HW2- and Kate Christowitz from u/23 Womens HW2-
