Academic Development Centre (ADC)
What is the ADC all about?
Our vision is to endeavor towards a nationally recognized Academic Development Centre that is integral to the institution and makes a demonstrable impact on the access and success of all students.
Academic Development is defined by Boughey (2007:2) as “an open set of practices concerned with improving the quality of teaching and learning in higher education”. Thus since 2008, leading to 2011, the Academic Development Centre's focus has been on enhancing the teaching and learning of students and staff at the university.
The ADC has a staff complement of 44 and is managed by Prof. Jennifer Clarence-Fincham (Acting ADC Director). |
