All 2016 applications will open on 1 April 2015.
An application fee will not be charge for online academic applications.
Applicants must have a valid email address in order to apply online. All communication with regard to your application will be sent via email/sms. Should you not have a valid email address you can create an email account using Gmail; Yahoo Mail or any other email provider you may prefer.
Applicants applying online may not subsequently apply using a paper-based application.
Please note that receiving a UJ student number (provisional number) does not imply you are a student until you have officially registered.
Incomplete applications may result in the delay of the finalisation of your application.
Meeting the minimum admission requirements for a specific qualification does not necessarily guarantee admission to that particular qualification due to space constraints.

First-Time Applicant - This would be a current matriculant and those who have completed their matric but has never applied at UJ before. (Please note that BTech applicants would NOT fall within this category.)
Re-Applicant/Transfer Student/Senior Applicant - This is an applicant/student who is already in possession of a UJ student number and did not register or is applying to change to another qualification. Please note that returning BTech applicants fall within this category.
Postgraduate Applicant - This is an applicant who is already in possession of a first qualification viz. diploma or degree and subsequently wants to further their studies into a BTech/MTech/DTech and Honours/Masters/Doctoral degrees respectively.
