Established out of the German culture, Bastion Men’s Residence manifested itself through knights. We are a house of knights, living by knightly integrity; and therefore share the following core values to promote the preferred student experience:
Integrity
Consequent in our behaviour and we know that the right decision isn’t always the popular one.
Brotherhood
We stand up for our fellow knights everywhere. We form a support system for each other so that every knight knows he has an army behind him. If one of our brothers has a problem, we do what we can to help and support him through his tough time.
Respect
We have respect for every single knight living in the Bastion Empire. We respect the other residences and their culture. Most important of all, we respect all the ladies on campus; we greet them and handle them with care.
Hard work
The key to success is hard work – we don’t give up. The Bastion Empire strives to encourage excellence in all the areas of academic, leadership, sports, culture, rag and social events. We persevere and strive to be the best we can and, with hard work, we reap the benefits.
Equality
No knight is more important than the next. With our armour on, we all look the same and thus we are all treated the same.
