A simpler, more economical way to join steel tubes in dome and bridge structures, by UJ researcher

A UJ professor has described a simple, economical way of joining steel tubes (circular hollow sections) for use in buildings and small bridges. His research investigates the modes of failure for this structural element and develops a model that can guide designers using any steel code, including Eurocode EN 1993-1-1 and SANS 10162-1.
