From a rural school to challenging established Physics theory - UJ woman Physics researcher Buyisiwe Sondezi

In a remarkable achievement, a student at the University of Johannesburg has become the first woman in Africa to be awarded a doctoral degree in the experimental Physics of highly correlated matter. Dr Buyisiwe Sondezi graduated as a Doctor of Physics at UJ on 23 September 2014. (read more)
