The Southern African Communication Association (SACOMM) is a professional body that represents the interests of academics, students and professional communicators who wish to promote an accepted standard of knowledge and proficiency within the broad discipline of communication. The core membership consists of academics and students from various Southern African higher education institutions which offer communication as an academic field of study. SACOMM provides a forum for academic debate and facilitates contact and cooperation between academic institutions, communication research bodies and professional communicators.
