The UJ Library and SMS
Please note that as  from 6 April 2010 you may receive SMS messages from the UJ Library and Information Centre to inform you about outstanding fines or the availability of books you placed a hold on.

APK Library Training sessions

The library is offering training sessions once a week, every Wednesday from 16:00 - 17:00, throughout the year, except during holidays. Sign on forms are available at the entrance of the APK Library. The first session will start on 10 March 2010.
The training covers the following:
• Library Catalogue (UJLink)
• Internet
• Finding articles using databases

Special Collections - Book Showcase
Drum : the making of a magazine by Anthony Sampson is a fresh and perceptive account of the early years of the pioneering magazine, Drum, written by its young editor shortly after he returned to his home country, England.  Not only does one learn about the innovative approach that he took to turn Drum into a top-selling magazine throughout Africa, but one gets a contemporary insight into life in South Africa at the beginning of the apartheid era..

Discussion rooms at APB Library
Discussion rooms are available at the APB library for study-related purposes. They can accommodate a maximum of 10 people. Please book at Lending Services.

Unfortunately theft is a reality in the library. We kindly request you not to leave any personal belongings unattended in the library. 

Any personal belongings left unattended for more than 15 minutes will be removed for safe keeping by security staff.
