The BCom Marketing Management degree is a full-time, three-year qualification that provides students with a comprehensive marketing foundation. It introduces students to critical thinking by providing them with practical marketing principles, examples and actions and teaches them how to evaluate these. These principles develop the students’ cognitive abilities and enable them to develop marketing strategies for organisations.
As marketing actions do not take place in isolation, the student will also be required to study the organisation as a study objective. As such, the BCom Marketing Management qualification follows a very generic first year in which students focus on the core management functions, as well as accounting and economics. Students will only start specialising in Marketing Management from the second year onwards.
