One of our Masters Industrial Psychology students of 2009, Claire Johnston, was accepted as a PhD student at the University of Lausanne, one of the a top universities in Europe. She was elected above applicants from all over Europe.
The Panel was most impressed with her. According to Prof Deon de Bruin, who is at present a visiting professor at Lausanne, she “bowled the Panel over”. She will receive a full salary for three perhaps four years whilst she is studying in Lausanne.
Indeed a feather in our cap, and an endorsement of our endeavour as a Department to in all respects to meet international academic standards.
So proud of you, Claire!!! On behalf of our Department: congratulations. Go and do our name and that of our country proud.
