Applied Information Systems (AIS) is a discipline that combines the activities of business and information communication technology to facilitate and exploit the use of IT to foster and support business activities within the enterprise and externally to its clients. Information Technology is one of the most exciting, expanding and evolving fields. There is a chronic shortage of IT professionals, and the demand is steadily increasing as the development of business opportunities requires well-trained specialists in the latest innovative technology.

By choosing to study IT you have a wonderful opportunity to develop a career that will be both exciting and useful. Careers in the IT Industry range from highly technical positions such as that of software developer to more business-orientated positions such as business analyst or e-commerce consultant.
