 Course Information

The University of Johannesburg offers a five-year, full-time Masters Degree in Homoeopathy, highly regarded nationally for its quality and scope of education.  Registration with the Allied Health Professions Council of South Africa (AHPCSA) is a statutory requirement where registered homoeopathic practitioners are expected to hold a highly competent level of diagnosis and treatment. Graduates become eligible for registration once a Council approved internship has been completed successfully.

The Masters’ Degree in Homoeopathy is comprised of a comprehensive medico-scientific course in classical, clinical, modern and conventional Homoeopathy as well as Homoeopharmaceutics, which is a legal requirement for registration. Students study the detailed anatomy and physiology of the healthy body, and the understanding, diagnosis and treatment of various disorders and diseases.  Students are required to do clinical work in the fourth and fifth year of study, during which they will deal with patients in Departmentof Homoeopathy’s on site clinic or satellite clinics, under the guidance of qualified practitioners. Students are also required to complete a research project and dissertation in fifth year for completion of their Masters degree.
