Unlocking the Potential of Stem Cell Research

The controversy surrounding stem cell research involves the use of human embryonic tissue as the source of the stem cells ultimately leading to death of the embryo. However, not all stem cell research involves the creation, usage and destruction of human embryos. Much success and potential has been demonstrated from research using adult stem cells.

Migration for Survival and Survival on Arrival - Access to basic necessities in inadequately resourced urban settings


Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF-Doctors without borders) and the University of Johannesburg have partnered to increase awareness of Public Health-related issues within South Africa and across the region through a series of high-level debates. The first in this series of debates will focus on people seeking refuge in SA and their access to basic necessities in inadequately resourced urban settings.
