New SA Contemporary Jewellery company involving UJ Alumni

Makia lifestyle is a new South African company which showcases young South African contemporary jewellery designers. Former University of Johannesburg (UJ) students are integrally involved in this exciting initiative.

To launch the concept as well as their unique online shopping boutique, Makia will be holding a public exhibition from 12:30 – 17:30 on Thursday, 13 October 2011 in collaboration with Moyo Zoo Lake.  Five jewellery designers have created a concept and range especially for this exciting launch, using their own inspiration, personal techniques and style in what promises to be a breath-taking exhibition of authentic jewellery design.
