Programmes Research Contact Us BTech National Diploma Postgraduate Study 1) Study at UJ 2) Courses & Programmes 3) WiEBE Department of Extraction Metallurgy  The Department equips graduates to competently work in a range of industry settings, such as in the mining industry, where they would be employed in the operation and management of metallurgical plants, in metallurgical research laboratories or in process engineering. They may also be employed as technical sales representatives. Two research groups are located in the Department, namely, Materials and Mineral Technology and Small Scale Mining. Staff is actively engaged in research and regularly produces journal papers, books, chapters, research reports and conference papers.
