Students are trained in a range of engineering technology services that enable them to work on the planning, design and construction of buildings, roads, airports, tunnels, dams, bridges, water supply systems or sewage systems.
The faculty has five specialised laboratories as well as excellent facilities that support and promote teaching and learning.
We have two research groups focusing on concrete as a construction material and on soil compaction.
Programmes offered by the Department are currently accredited by the Engineering Council of South Africa (ECSA).
