Academic writing workshops

In order to assist with the publication backlog of completed research as well as for current research the Centre for Education Practice research is arranging a series of workshops and mentoring sessions. The first of a series of three took place on 11 October 2010 . We worked through how to get started with writing an article for a journal

The second workshop will be held on Thu, 3 March 2011 at B ring 302 from 17h00-19h00 and is called “On your way with your journal article”. We request that you bring your first draft of 2000-3000 words to this workshop so we can work on it collaboratively. We will look at some examples of good and not so good writing and in the process deconstruct what it is that makes an article good. This workshop will focus on writing FOR a journal, language, grammar, style, paragraph structuring, argumentation, etc.
