 The LINK CLUB



“Make the Link Bigger”

The LINK CLUB is a voluntary network of students, interested in supporting HIV-related events on campus, in an effort to raise awareness and decrease new HIV infections at UJ!

Purpose:

  • To infiltrate and reach the larger student population, in terms of HIV awareness at UJ
  • To create a database of students interested in HIV-related issues
  • To identify and integrate potential future members into the LINK peer educator programme

Criteria:

  • Any UJ student interested in HIV and AIDS can join the LINK CLUB.
  • The LINK CLUB will however be primarily marketed to first year students.

How to join the LINK CLUB:

  • Fill in application form at any IOHA office. You can also download an application form here.
  • Get a LINK CLUB card, with your application number on.
  • NB: You can join the LINK CLUB at any time throughout the year.

Benefits of being a LINK CLUB member:

  • Get exclusive SMS invitations to IOHA events throughout the year.
  • Participate in interesting & thought-provoking debate & information sessions every quarter.
  • Participate in a large-scale meaningful community outreach project, once a year. 
  • Be a proud supporter in the fight against HIV and Stigma at UJ!


NB: Prizes and free goodies given to LINK Club members who attend events regularly during the year.
